This is a thick Silk card. A thin coating of matt lamination is applied to one side of the card to give it a sophisticated and smooth look and feel which also enhances the durability of the card.
Please note: The lamination is not the same as the thick plastic you may have seen on membership cards. Your prints will look very professional.

Give any instructions and changes you want to give to the designer. If you don't any have artwork, please type all the text you require in your prints (with any specific colour, fonts, positioning).

A note about the proof you will receive

Once you have submitted any files / instructions and paid for your order, we will do the following:

An initial check to make sure we have all the required information. If we have any concerns then we will contact you (by email/phone).
Once you have paid for your order, we put it through our unique Quality and Proofing Process.

It can take 1-2 working days for us to do the initial quality checks and to email you the first proof. However, in the majority of cases, you will probably receive proofs within 1 working day.

Note: For Express Orders, proofs are usually sent the same day as the order. You will be advised a proof approval deadline.

It can take longer than this time if there are issues with the quality or if we have to send out more than one proof. To avoid delays, please respond back quickly to quality/proof emails we send you. If you have not heard anything from us then please check your junk/spam email.

We do quality checks and proofing to ensure that the printing goes as smoothly as possible.

These are the steps we follow
- After you have submitted your business card or any other stationery order we will inspect your designs to ensure they are suitable for print. If we have any concerns with the quality then will get in touch via email.
- Where needed we try to provide free guidance and assistance to improve your designs, so as to achieve good quality print.
- We will email you a proof for all submitted designs giving you peace of mind ensuring that what we will be printing is correct.
- After seeing your email proof, you can request us to make further changes to your design which we can make free of charge. Once we have made the changes you requested, we will email you another proof for you to check. It can take up to a further 1 working day for us to email you another proof to inspect. It may take longer if you email us your changes after 4pm on any working day.
- We will only print once you have emailed us back saying you are happy with the proof that we have emailed you.
- If at any point you are not happy with the emailed proofs then you can cancel the order for a full refund. However, please remember that if you have emailed us confirming that you are happy with the proof, then you cannot make changes or cancel your order as we would have started the printing process.
- No proofs will be emailed to you if you design your business cards using our templates and our online business card design tool (since you can preview the proof online). Your order will go to print after it passes the quality checks which means that you cannot make changes or cancel your order as we would have started the printing process.

We will then email you a Proof for you to check (we will make further changes as you require and keep sending you proofs to check until you are happy). If you decide that you don't want to proceed and have not approved the proof then you can cancel for a full refund.

We understand that it is not easy to create the correct artwork that will print well. Most people don't have the technical print design knowledge to do this. If your design is not correct, the end printed result can be poor which will reflect badly on you.

For this reason - after submitting your order, we (yes, a person!) will carefully inspect your designs to ensure they are suitable for print (we may also speak to you about suggestions for improving your design) and will get in touch if we have any concerns.

If you are unable to help with the concerns (such as supplying a better logo) and are happy for us to make any improvements discussed, we will attempt to this for free (which we can in most cases). You will always receive a proof to check before we print.

Give us anything!

If you don't have a design (artwork) or an incomplete design (artwork) then send us whatever you have got. This can be a proof from a previous printer/design, a photograph of your business card or a business card you like the style of, a scan or even a sketch.

If you have a design, you can ask us to make any changes such as:

Changing the phone number or any text
Adding/removing or changing the position or look of your logo
Changing colours and fonts
Changing the size of the business card - from example from USA to UK standard size

If you would like designs printed for multiple people then you can just send us the design (if you have one) and details of each individual. We can use this to create a design for your company. Once you have approved, we can apply it to all the individuals that require business cards.

If we believe that any text/images/logos needs repositioning/aligning or distributing evenly then we will do this as part of the fixing process. You can of course let us know if you need something repositioned.

Use my current design for another Person

We can use your design (even it is a scan or photo) and use it for a new person. If you supply us a photo or scan then we will recreate it so that it prints well.

Make logo higher resolution

If your logo or other images are low quality then we will aim to recreate the image or guide you through getting a replacement image (if it is a photo). This is because a poor quality image can make the entire product look bad (even if everything else is nice and clear).

An example is shown (where we show poor printed results, before we fixed the design (artwork) and good printed results after we fixed the design (artwork).

We will email you a proof for all submitted designs and will only print once you are happy. You can ask us to make changes to the proofs we send you and we will resend more proofs. This backwards and forwards of proof emails continue until you are happy. This gives you peace of mind ensuring that what we are printing is correct.

You can cancel at any point until you say you are happy with the proof. We only go to print once you say you are happy with the proof, after which you cannot cancel.

Bleed:: 3mm outside each trim edge

Safe area (sometimes called a Quiet Area):: 3mm inside each trim edge

Colour Scheme:: CMYK (Full Colour)

Ideal Resolution:: 300 dpi

As stipulated, we would prefer your file to be in the CMYK colour scheme. Any files not in CMYK will be converted to CMYK.

Please note that changing a different colour profile (for example, RGB) to CMYK will change the printed colour.
